New Music Tuesday – Don Poythress

I love it when people I consider friends release a new album.  Now some of you may not be familiar with Don’s name…but I know you’re familiar with some of his music.  For one, he co-wrote “Lay It Down” off of my debut album…but he’s also written songs for Sheryl Crow, Willie Nelson, Tim McGraw (just to name a few)…

He has now released a brand new worship project through Integrity Music entitled “Wash Away”.  I just downloaded my copy & I’m loving it!  Below is a video where you can get an idea of the project in his words.  Take look & get to know him…then head over to iTunes (or your local Christian bookstore) to pick up your very own copy.  

On a side-note:  You have got to hear the last song on the project.  It’s called “Joseph” (co-written by another friend of mine, Tony Wood).  It’s one of the best Christmas songs I’ve heard in a long time (yep…Christmas in June;  it’s never too early).
